Pequeno livro ilustrado que partiu de um livro entitulado “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows”, de John Koenig. Por vezes o que sentimos é difícil de expressar por palavras. Podem ser emoções fortes indefiníveis, outras vezes encontramo-nos em situações imprevisíveis ou que nos causam estranheza. “ The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows”, escrito por John Koenig em 2021, foi um levantamento feito ao longo de 10 anos, através de relatos de experiências de várias pessoas, que tenta descrever e nomear esses sentimentos tão difíceis de identificar. Ilustrei 6 destas definições do dicionário, com as quais também me identificasse, com uma abordagem mais pessoal. Usei sobretudo aguarela, em manchas abstratas refletindo algo espiritual, etéreo e celestial. Small illustrated book inspired in the book “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows”, by John Koenig. Sometimes what we feel is difficult to express in words. They can be indefinable strong emotions, at other times we find ourselves in situations that are unpredictable or that cause us strangeness. “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows”, written by John Koenig in 2021, was a survey carried out over 10 years, through reports of experiences from several people, which tries to describe and name these feelings that are so difficult to identify. I illustrated 6 of these dictionary definitions, with which I also identified, with a more personal approach. I mostly used watercolor, in an abstract way, reflecting something spiritual, ethereal and celestial.
